My order I placed with BFTE (Beauty from the Earth) Cosmetics arrived yesterday. This is my second purchase from this company. I recently became aware of them via my cousin A.R. Jonson. Check out her blog.
As I said before, “I’m an eyeshadow whore.” so I purchased more of their multi-use minerals and their Hard Pressed pigment pressing solution. You will see from the images the Hard Pressed came with very detailed instructions.
The multi use minerals in sample sizes I purchased (.5 grams at $2 USD each) are “Bing”, “Isis”, “Casablanca Nights”, “Aqua”, “Treason”, “Addicted”, “Candy Shop” and “Illusion” (full size). “Illusion” is the only one of the lot which specifically states “Do not use on lips”.
These minerals are very pigmented while being thankfully, relatively affordable. The stand out colors for me are “Illusion”, “Treason”, “Bing”, “Isis”, and “Casablanca Nights”. I was delighted to realize “Treason” is very close, “dupable” in fact to MAC’s “Gilt By Association”, released in the “Style Black” collection. Of course “Gilt By Association” is limited edition. So if you missed out on buying it, do not fret, pick up BFTE’s “Treason”. I have swatches of “Gilt By Association” and “Treason” side by side for comparison in the attached images.
“Bing”, “Casablanca Nights”, “Treason” and “Illusion” remind me of NAR’s night series of eye shadows. NAR’s is known for their very pigmented colors. BFTE’s sparkle multi use minerals are worth a look at. There are some “night clubbing” looks in that collection.
The sample I received with my order is “24K Gold”. I will swatch and post a picture of it with my first BFTE Cosmetics haul.
